Meet Our Team

Booker T. Walton III

President

Booker T. Walton III boasts over 22 years of experience in Information Technology Consulting. He started with the West Virginia Network for Educational Telecomputing (WVNET), advancing from Network Operator to Senior IT Consultant and Manager of Data Centers. Walton was instrumental in securing two FCC E-Rate contracts for K-12 schools and forging a partnership with Advantage Technologies.

At WVNET, he collaborated with Columbia Pictures to deliver digital content to underserved West Virginia counties without broadband. As the Technology Consultant, he provided training and represented WVNET in an FCC hearing on E-rate eligible technology.

Walton also served as Master of Ceremonies for statewide technology conferences and was appointed to the West Virginia Broadband Council. In 2017, he founded Mountaineer Technology Consultants, a full-service IT company. As the majority owner, Walton works with a diverse range of clients, showcasing his expertise in hardware, software, networking, cloud services, website design, digital marketing, social media, and SEO.

He holds certifications such as Certified Data Center Management Professional, Knowledge Centered Support Principles, and Support Center Manager Certified, along with educational credentials like Blackboard Course Graphical User Interface Administrator. A career highlight was being named the 2020-2022 Small Business of the Year by the Morgantown Area Partnership.

Walton dedicates much of his free time to his son, Tristan, instilling in him the values of feeling limitless and capable. In his remaining free time, he promotes his “Power In Positivity” video blog, enjoys dining at his favorite restaurants, supports his favorite sports teams, and occasionally tries his luck at the roulette table.

Booker’s keys to success are simple: “Stop focusing on what everyone else wants, and start focusing on what you want.”

Chief Information Officer

Preston, a lifelong resident of Morgantown, has been an integral part of MTC since 2021. With a degree in Computer Science from West Virginia University and over a decade of experience in the IT field, he plays a pivotal role at MTC. Preston leads the company’s automation initiatives, serves as the lead web developer, and excels as a network engineer. Additionally, he dedicates much of his time to fieldwork, ensuring hands-on involvement in various projects.

Outside of work, Preston cherishes every moment spent with his daughter and fiancée, indulging in culinary delights and exploring the scenic beauty of West Virginia’s wilderness.

Adrianna O’Neal

Chief of Technical Solutions Implementation

Adrianna O’Neal is the Technology Consultant here at MTC and has been with us since May 2022. She recently graduated from WVU with a degree in Management Information Systems and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Cybersecurity Management. Adrianna’s main focus within the business is IT management and ensuring a positive experience for the clients she works with. While not at work, she spends a majority of her time with her 5 year old son and dog, which keeps her busy!
